Bellingham

This weekend saw the basketball team with families in tow returned to Bellingham for the Martin Luther King Tournament to defend their  title.  The boys weren't able to repeat as champions, but they did have a successful weekend, winning 4 games and losing 1.
Noah and Kaleb modeling their new shooting shirts and mod 3D glasses. The pink shirts are being worn by the whole team and many people in Arlington.  I bought 4 of them.  They are to support the wife of our high school coach who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  The boys are also sporting hot pink laces in their basketball shoes. Half the fun of going out of town for a tournament is the down time hanging out at the hotel.

Most of the boys' games were at the rec center on the campus of WWU.  It's a great facility with four basketball courts.  Taking photos during a game is difficult because of lighting, but Forrest snapped a few in this gym because it had the best lighting.  Unfortunately this was the one game the boys lost.  Here we have Noah firing a pass cross court to Nate and shooting a free throw.
Several of the families from Arlington AAU stopped for dinner on the way home.  The staff at the restaurant did a great job handling nearly 30 people.  We were all worn out by the time we got home and everyone was in bed before 9:00 PM.  It was a great weekend!  And by the way if you're ever in Bellingham visit Coffee Woods for a latte and a white chocolate raspberry scone. They're amazing!
